The Unluckiest Planeswalker
CommentsModern 22 Eng.FUsr.—
A three-mana setup planeswalker is too slow; unlike Narset, Parter of Veils (64), it offers no disruption without established Auras.
Could be wrong if A low-curve Aura combo shell could exploit the mana activation and draw burst more efficiently than expected.
Legacy 21 Eng.FUsr.—
It needs both Auras and a discardable hand, with no standalone impact; it is far less reliable than Kaito, Bane of Nightmares (58).
Could be wrong if Fast mana plus a compact Aura engine could make its card burst materially better than its normal floor.
Commander 62 Eng.B-Usr.—
As commander, Rulebreaker unlocks every Aura and basic land; repeatable Aura-based refills make it a credible dedicated engine.
Could be wrong if The Aura-only color exception excludes off-color enchantress support, and an exposed planeswalker may prove too slow.
Limited 38 Eng.DUsr.—
It only rewards a critical mass of Auras: it neither protects itself nor affects the board alone, and its -3 can empty a normal hand.
Could be wrong if Aura density, removal, and archetypes are unknown; abundant cheap Auras could make it a strong synergy card.
“A fragile three-mana Aura engine whose refill needs setup; its Rulebreaker commander text is its clearest competitive application.”
