The flexible modes invite testing, but it is slower and weaker as a sweeper than Whipflare (47); -5/-5 sorcery removal is inefficient here.

Could be wrong if A metagame dense with one-toughness creatures or death-recursion targets could make its modality valuable.

Legacy's efficient removal makes 1BB sorcery speed a major liability; it is far below Toxic Deluge (68) or Massacre (67) as a sweeper.

Could be wrong if A sustained x/1-heavy field could create a narrow sideboard role despite the poor rate.

A three-mana sorcery that usually removes one creature is highly replaceable; the -1/-1 mode only answers narrow token or x/1 boards.

Could be wrong if Token-heavy local environments may make the one-sided sweep mode a worthwhile niche inclusion.

-5/-5 for three mana should kill most creatures, while the alternate one-sided -1/-1 can punish tokens and x/1s; BB constrains splashing.
